Teaching Biography
Motivated and inspired by her maths teacher, Annalyn grew up determined to be one. Right after finishing her degree in Education, she was offered a job by the same university she graduated from and became a Form teacher for over a decade in the Philippines. She then became a nursery teacher when she moved to London and after a while worked as a teaching assistant in a state school while starting short courses in education and special needs. Things went well the moment she joined Bassett House community, where the nurturing and supportive environment inspired her to become even more passionate about teaching. This has given her the opportunity to pursue a second degree, which she recently completed here in the UK allowing her to focus on what she enjoys and loves the most- teaching young children.
Personal Biography
Annalyn has lived in the United Kingdom with her husband and daughter, who is now in secondary school, for nearly two decades. She is completely inspired by David Attenborough and his environmental activism, and she strives to make a difference in the simplest and most meaningful ways possible. Annalyn is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need in her own special way, and in her spare time she enjoys listening to 80s music, and artists such as Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and Lady Gaga.
