At Bassett House Nursery School, we are proud to be a warm family that really knows and nurtures your child. Bassett House Nursery School, located in the heart of Notting Hill, offers a nurturing and inspiring environment for children aged 2 – 4 years old to begin their magical school journey.
Our recently refurbished Nursery is located at 73 St Helen’s Gardens, close to Bassett House Prep and includes an interactive learning zone and outdoor play area.

At Bassett House Nursery, we believe the key to successful learning in the early years is helping children discover new ideas and skills through curiosity, play and exploration. Our aim is to nurture a genuine love of learning from the very beginning of a child’s educational journey.
As part of Bassett House School, our nursery pupils are welcomed into a warm and supportive community for children aged 2–11. We combine high-quality early childhood education with attentive care, ensuring every child feels happy, confident and excited to learn.
Our approach blends elements of the Montessori philosophy with a carefully structured curriculum, allowing children to learn through both independent discovery and guided activities. This balance helps develop confidence, curiosity and essential early skills, while preparing children for the next stage of their educational journey.
Each day offers a rich mix of indoor and outdoor experiences, where play and learning are seamlessly woven together. Through these varied activities, children build important social, emotional and academic foundations while discovering new interests and celebrating their achievements.
