Seema Syed

Director of Studies and Computing Specialist

Seema believes in imparting her passion for her subject on the pupils of Bassett House and allowing them to turn it into their own. She is a strong advocate for the children and their well-being.

Teaching Biography

Inquisitive by nature, Seema led large MIS projects turning data into meaningful information in retail, banking, telecom, insurance and manufacturing sectors. Working in consultancy the common theme was educating people and so the move to teaching came naturally.
She spent 8 years teaching at  Parliament Hill Girls School as Head of Year/Head of Business/Asst Head. After leading a successful department achieving 100% pass rate at A level and GCSE at her first school, she and her family relocated abroad to Singapore.
Once back in the United Kingdom, she joined a start up in the food and beverage sector but  missed teaching so joined Bassett House School as the Head of Computing, soon becoming the Director of Studies.

Personal Biography

Seema loves travelling and has a flair for cooking. As a keen foodie and baker she takes after her mum and enjoys hosting large social gatherings. A mother of two she enjoys exercise and is always motivating others to try new activities with her. She has recently embarked on pottery and sailing courses trying to keep up with her family’s activities in the hope she can become more advanced than them.
