For children under 5 years of age on the first day of the month in which a term begins, the fees shown above will be reduced by the amount of the Nursery Education Grant (£594 from the Autumn Term 2010) paid by the local authority to the school. Because the administration is a complex burden, not all schools participate in the Nursery Education Grant scheme but Bassett House chooses to do so as a service to the parents of our youngest children.Where such grant is paid to the school, the actual fees payable to the school by parents are therefore £1,506 for a child in the Den attending mornings only, and £3,550 for a child in the Den attending all day and for a child in Lower 1.

The school also accepts most companies' childcare vouchers in part payment of the fees to the end of the term in which the child attains age 5.

Notes

  1. Fees are inclusive of mid-morning milk and lunch (except for those children in the Den who attend for mornings only) and most outings but do not include any residential trips.
  2. Insurance for the re-imbursement of fees during the absence of a child due to illness (as well as insurance for various other risks) can be arranged through the school office – details available on request.
